Ingredients
  

Dough:
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 1/2 cup yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
For Frying:
  • Oil
Coating:
  • Sugar
Filling:
  • Nutella
  • Jam

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar.
  2. Mix in remaining ingredients to form dough.
  3. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let rise until doubled (1–1.5 hours).
  5. Roll out and cut into triangles.
  6. Shape into croissant forms.
  7. Let rest 30–45 minutes.
  8. Fry at 350°F until golden.
  9. Coat in sugar while warm.
  10. Fill with Nutella or jam and serve.
