Alternatively, if you’re feeling adventurous, crafting your own is a breeze – just a blend of flour, sugar, salt, butter, and water. BAKING THE GALETTE

When your galette is set to bake, give it a gorgeous finishing touch by brushing it with an egg wash, creating a rich, golden brown glaze. Ingredients
  

  • 1 puff pastry roll
  • 500 g fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp lime zest
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 1 egg
  • Ice cream

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lime juice and zest. Set aside.
  • Cut your sheet of puff pastry into a circle and lightly mark an inch border around your puff pastry sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of jam then add the strawberries. Fold over the border and brush with egg wash.
  • Bake for 25-30 mins at 200 C or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.
