The Story Behind Hanna and Bakeanna Recipes
My love for food started long before I ever stepped into my own
kitchen. Growing up, I watched my mum cook every single day, she
is a true expert, and I spent years by her side watching, learning,
and occasionally making a mess. Those memories are where my passion
for food began.
For five years I worked a full-time corporate job. Then 2020
arrived and with it, the pandemic. Like everyone else, I found
myself at home with more free time than I had ever had. So I
started baking, just for fun, just for myself. I made things for
my friends to try, and they absolutely loved everything. They kept
asking me for more. And somewhere between flour-covered countertops
and late-night baking sessions, I realised I was happier than I
had been in years.
In 2022, I made the leap. I left my corporate career and committed
fully to what I love, creating, testing, and sharing recipes with
people all over the world. Starting Bakeanna Recipes was the best
decision I ever made.

Baking is my absolute comfort zone, sweet or savory, it honestly
does not matter. There is something about the process of baking
that makes everything else disappear. But I am equally obsessed
with cooking, especially hearty, satisfying dishes that feel like
a restaurant meal made at home.
On Bakeanna Recipes you will find everything from homemade pasta recipes and fresh-baked bread to restaurant copycat recipe
and quick 30-minute dinners.
Every single recipe has been tested multiple times before it goes
live. I test my recipes hundreds of times before publishing, I
only share what I am truly proud of.
The Trips That Inspire Hanna's Recipes
My husband and I are obsessed with travelling. For us, food is
the whole point of going somewhere new, the restaurants, the
street food, the things you can only taste in that one city. And
every trip I take comes back with me in the form of new recipes.

I tried authentic pasta and pizza styles I had never seen before. When I got home, I spent weeks recreating my favourites.
The fast food in New York is on another level. Back in Germany we don’t have Dave’s Hot Chicken or Wingstop, so I made my own versions.
New flavours, new cafes, new ideas. Amsterdam left its mark on my kitchen.
London’s food scene is wildly diverse. I came back full of inspiration.
