HOW TO MAKE THESE VANILLA ORANGE BUTTER COOKIES

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
- Butter
- Ghee
- Powdered sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Milk
- Orange juice
- Orange zest
- Flour
- Baking powder

- -Cool completely to room temperature. before storing. This helps prevent moisture buildup, which can make them soggy.
- -Airtight container: Transfer cooled cookies to an airtight container. Make sure the container is clean and dry to maintain freshness.
- -Layering: If you are storing the cookies in a container, place a sheet of parchment paper or wax paper between each layer to prevent them from sticking.
- -Room temperature: If you plan to consume the cookies within a few days, you can store them at room temperature. Just keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- -Refrigeration (optional): If you want to extend their shelf life, you can store the cookies in the refrigerator. However, keep in mind that refrigeration can sometimes change the texture of the cookies, making them a little harder.
- -Freezing (optional): For long-term storage, you can freeze the cookies. Place them in a freezer-safe container or zip-lock freezer bag. They can be frozen for up to several months. Thaw them at room temperature before serving.


EID VANILLA ORANGE BISCUITS
Ingredients
- 250 g cold unsalted butter
- 50 g cold ghee
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp Vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk room temperature
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 500 g bread flour or normal flour + 1 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- In an electric mixer, add in the cold butter, ghee and mix well until creamy.
- Add in the sugar and mix for about 5-8 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix.
- Dissolve the orange juice with the milk and add it to the mixture.
- Add in the orange zest and mix.
- Add in the flour at once and mix but just enough to be incorporated. Do not overmix.
- Fill the piping bag and shape into biscuits onto a baking sheet.
- Bake until golden brown. If it has browned from the bottom only, you can broil for about 1-2 minutes until golden from the top as well.
- Let them cool and serve later!
