THE SAUCE

A Big Mac just wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Big Mac Sauce! Its signature pink hue is unmistakable, and you might be surprised to learn that replicating it is easier than you’d imagine. In fact, many burger sauces share similar ingredients. Here’s a list of the necessary components to recreate this beloved sauce:

  • mayonnaise 
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • pickle relish
  • white vinegar
  • sugar 
  • onion powder
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • white pepper

That’s all there is to it – just these ingredients.Simply combine all the ingredients, and you’ll have a lusciously thick sauce with tiny relish specks. It’s a delightful blend of sweetness and tanginess. It’s worth noting that the authentic recipe calls for sweet pickle relish, but I used regular relish, which is why I added sugar. If you have sweet pickle relish, there’s no need to include sugar!

Ingredients
  

BIG MAC SAUCE

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp pickle relish drained
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

FOR THE ASSEMBLY

  • 150 g ground beef
  • Butter for cooking the beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 large potatoes
  • Frying oil
  • Potato spices
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 4 pickles chopped
  • 3 cheddar cheese slices

Instructions
 

MAKE THE BIG MAC SAUCE

  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, relish, ketchup,mustard, sugar, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Set aside.

PREPARE THE MINCED MEAT

  • In a well heated pan, add some butter and oil. Divide your meat into two balls and cook them on each side for 3-4 min and don’t forget to add some salt and pepper. When flipping on the other side, make sure to smash into pieces. Set aside when cooked.

PREPARE THE FRIES

  • Cut your potatoes into perfectly sized sticks. Then dip them in a dish filled with cold iced water. Leave them in the water till the oil is hot enough.
  • Drain your potatoes and dry them well from the water. Dip them in the hot frying oil till golden. Season with potato spices.

THE FINAL ASSEMBLY

  • Following this order, in a large serving plate, add the fries, minced meat, cheddar cheese (broil them till they are melted),chopped onions, chopped pickles, shredded lettuce and finally the big mac sauce.
  • Enjoy while warm!
