Method
Cook the Steak
- Season steak with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Heat butter in a hot pan and sear steak 3–4 minutes per side until medium rare. Baste with extra butter. Rest 5 minutes, then slice.
Fry the Fries
- Heat oil to 170°C (340°F). Fry potatoes until golden and crisp. Season with salt while hot.
Make Garlic Butter
- Mix softened butter with garlic, salt, pepper, chili flakes, garlic powder, and parsley.
Toast the Bread
- Spread garlic butter on bread, add cheese if using, and broil at 180°C (350°F) until golden and bubbly.
Assemble
- Top garlic bread with sliced steak, then fries. Finish with extra garlic butter if desired. Serve immediately.
