FOR THE GARLIC BUTTER
In a small bowl, combine butter, parsley, roasted garlic, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
FOR THE FILLING
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until soft and tender, adding a splash of water as needed to help caramelize them evenly.
Once onions are mostly caramelized, add bell peppers and cover and let steam until the peppers soften.
Transfer cooked vegetables to a plate. In the same pan, melt the butter.
Add the steak to the pan over high heat. Season with paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until fully cooked.
Remove from heat. Return the peppers and onions to the pan. Toss together and set aside.
ASSEMBLY
Preheat oven to 180 Celsius degrees.
Cut the loaf in half lengthwise.
Generously spread garlic butter mixture over it.
Layer cheesesteak filling on top, then cover with cheese.
Place on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, switch oven to broil for 3 to 6 minutes until top is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven, chop into small pieces, and serve warm. Enjoy!
