COOK THE SALMON
- Place the salmon fillets on a plate, laying them flat. Drizzle olive oil over the top and generously season with Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and a hint of red pepper flakes.
- In a skillet or pan over medium-high heat, warm some olive oil. Add the salmon fillets, cooking each side until they achieve a delightful golden brown and crispy texture, approximately 3 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to low and let the salmon cook through to the center. Once done, carefully remove the fillets from the pan.
MAKE THE SAUCE
- In the same saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for a minute or two.
- Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, spinach and lemon juice, whisking the mixture together and bringing it to a gentle simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Introduce the Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce achieves a thick and creamy consistency. Once thickened, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Stir in the basil and parsley.
- Return the salmon to the pan, allowing it to soak in the delightful sauce for a minute or two to reheat before removing it from the heat. Now, savor the moment and enjoy!
