Ingredients

SEARED SALMON

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili red flakes

CREAM SAUCE

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 hanfdul baby spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp dried basil

Instructions

COOK THE SALMON

  • Place the salmon fillets on a plate, laying them flat. Drizzle olive oil over the top and generously season with Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and a hint of red pepper flakes.
  • In a skillet or pan over medium-high heat, warm some olive oil. Add the salmon fillets, cooking each side until they achieve a delightful golden brown and crispy texture, approximately 3 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to low and let the salmon cook through to the center. Once done, carefully remove the fillets from the pan.

MAKE THE SAUCE

  • In the same saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for a minute or two.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, spinach and lemon juice, whisking the mixture together and bringing it to a gentle simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Introduce the Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce achieves a thick and creamy consistency. Once thickened, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Stir in the basil and parsley.
  • Return the salmon to the pan, allowing it to soak in the delightful sauce for a minute or two to reheat before removing it from the heat. Now, savor the moment and enjoy!
