Method
- Prepare syrup by boiling sugar, water, and lemon juice for 10 minutes.
- Break apart kunafa strands and mix with powdered sugar and melted ghee.
- Lay a sheet of phyllo pastry on the work surface.
- Add kunafa filling and sprinkle nuts on top.
- Roll tightly and brush the edge with ghee to seal.
- Cut rolls into small pieces and place in a greased baking tray.
- Brush the tops with melted ghee.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden and crispy.
- Pour syrup over the hot rolls and allow them to soak before serving.
