Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup warm water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • tsp yeast
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • oil for frying
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm water and sugar.
  2. Add milk, egg, vanilla.
  3. Add flour and salt.
  4. Mix in butter gradually.
  5. Knead until soft and smooth.
  6. Let rise until doubled.
  7. Roll and cut into squares.
  8. Fry at 360°F until golden.
  9. Drain and dust with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve warm.
