How to make this Cajun chicken pasta
- Cook Pasta: Boil the pasta in salted water with chicken bouillon until it reaches al dente, following the package instructions.
- Prepare Chicken: Flatten the chicken breasts evenly using a meat mallet or the bottom of a saucepan. Season both sides with Cajun, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika and dried parsley. Sauté the chicken in a skillet with oil until fully cooked, then slice into strips.
- Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add some butter, diced onions, diced pepper, tomatoes, garlic and cook them for a bit. Add some heavy cream, chicken bouillon, Cajun spice, parmesan cheese and let it simmer for 10 mins.
- Combine: Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce. Toss everything together to combine.
- Serve: Top with parmesan and parsley to serve.

CAJUN CHICKEN PASTA
Ingredients
- 250 g pasta
- 2 chicken breasts
- 3 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 small onion diced
- 1/2 bell pepper sliced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 garlic clove chopped
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Begin by bringing a generously salted pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and the chicken bouillon and follow the instructions on the package for cooking time. Before draining, remember to save at least 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken breast with cajun, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika and dried parsley.
- On a medium high heat, add some olive oil and start cooking the chicken on both sides. After it is done, set it aside.
- In the same pan, add some butter, diced onions, diced pepper, tomatoes, garlic and cook them for a bit.
- Add some heavy cream, chicken bouillon, Cajun spice, Parmesan cheese and let it simmer for 10 mins.
- Add your cooked penne pasta to this sauce and top your pasta with the grilled chicken.
- Enjoy while warm!
